I’ve been a developer at A+LIVE for a couple years now, and have worked on a really wide variety of projects, from local shops to multinational corporations. A number of things initially really attracted me to the company: the drive to modernise websites, moving away from the cramped clutter of older websites, which many web companies in Japan still tend to produce, to a much cleaner and more manageable design; a sometimes more relaxed working environment where, although everyone works really hard, harsh overtime and last-minute demands aren’t made. I feel this creates a much happier and more efficient way of working than many traditional offices.
I really enjoy the willingness that A+LIVE have to look into and adopt modern technologies and advancements in the web development world, allowing us to always improve our workflow and to give our customers exactly what they need, and to experiment with design. And I really enjoy the people (and cats) who work here. Despite differences in team and rank, everyone is allowed to let their personality shine through, and encouraged to treat each other as equals.
